Abstract

The elusive trifluoromethylthiyl radical (CF3S˙) has been isolated in cryogenic matrixes for spectroscopic characterization. In addition to the isomerization and O2-oxidation reactions, the photolytic sulfur atom transfer (SAT) from CF3S˙ to N2 and CO has been observed.
