Abstract

The lowest energy P8 structure is a cuneane analogue with no PP double bonds. Higher energy P8 structures are polycyclic systems with at most a single PP double bond. The lowest energy (CH)8 structure is cyclooctatetraene. Cubane isomers are very high energy structures.
