Abstract

Two isomers of iron tetraoxygen anion, dioxoiron peroxide [(η²-O₂)FeO₂]⁻ and tetroxide FeO₄⁻ were characterized by experiment and theoretical calculations, with heptavalent Fe(vii) oxidation state identified in the later.
