Abstract

Eu3+ activated Ba2Gd2/3TeO6 phosphor exhibits reddish orange luminescence due to the combined charge transfer assisted energy transfer from the Gd3+ ion. This phosphor finds applications in optical thermometry and anticounterfeiting.
