Why HS− and CN− can be detected by different chemosensors with similar structures: a quantum mechanics and molecular dynamics study

Abstract
Two fluorescent chemosensors (COUMC and HCHI) have similar structures. Benzyl group in COUMC is the only difference. Their sensing selectivity to HS−, CN−, and F− can be understood by the QM and MD results.
