Abstract

Au NPs effectively harvest light through absorption of light back-reflected from <001> oriented TiO2mesocrystals supported on Ti foil. The enhanced light absorption facilitates the generation of electron–hole pairs and intensive EM fields that realizes efficient photocatalysis.
