Copper-catalyzed synthesis of benzanilides from lignin model substrates 2-phenoxyacetophenones under an air atmosphere

Abstract
A novel approach for the synthesis of benzanilides is presented via the Cu-catalyzed reaction of 2-phenoxyacetophenones with anilines under an air atmosphere, and a series of benzanilides can be obtained in high yields.
