Abstract

1,2-Bis(N,N-dimethyl-aminochlorophosphanyl)-1,2-dicarba-closo-dodecaborane(12) reacts with lithiated phenylacetylene to give a carbaboranyl-based phosphane, while alkynylchlorophosphanes and dilithiated carbaborane give bis(alkynylphosphanyl)carbaboranes.
