Abstract

A pectin-rich dietary fiber from sisal waste produced by a sequential enzymatic-ultrasonic process, was not only efficient in adsorbing Pb2+ from solution but also very useful in promoting Pb2+ excretion from the tissues of Pb2+-loading mice.
