Abstract
Hydrophilic CuInS2 and CuInS2–ZnS colloidal quantum dots were directly synthesized using in situ generated H2S as the sulphur source and DMF as the solvent. Short chain thiols were applied as capping ligands, reactivity controlling agents and sulphur sources for the growth of the ZnS shell.
