Abstract

The visible light irradiation of fourtrans-tetrapyridyl ruthenium complexes controls adduct formation with a 12-mer oligonucleotide. In the dark virtually no adduct forms, while light-activation leads to the binding of one or two ruthenium complexes to the oligonucleotide.
