Abstract
The Eu3+ → Eu2+ self-reduction in the air in CaBPO5 built by rigidly connected BO4 and PO4 tetrahedrons was achieved. We also demonstrate that the CaBPO5:Eu2+/Eu3+ is a promising candidate for temperature sensing with excellent performances.
