Abstract
The conformational preference and modification of photophysics of benzenediols, namely hydroquinone (HQ), resorcinol (RE) and catechol (CA), upon host–guest complex formation with 18-Crown-6 (18C6) have been investigated, under supersonically jet-cooled conditions.
