Abstract
The synthesis of thiophene C-nucleoside analogues has been achieved by symmetric dimerization of terminal sugar alkynes or unsymmetric dimerization of terminal sugar alkynes and substituted iodoethynylbenzene followed by sulfur heterocyclization.
