cAAC-ligand stabilized monomeric siliconthiodichloride (cAAC)SiSCl2 (3) is prepared via reaction of (cAAC˙)2Si2Cl4 (1) or (cAAC)2Si2Cl2 (2) with elemental sulfur (S8).
