Abstract

K⁺ ion substitution in Na site of NaNdW₂O₈ results in blue shift, inhomogeneous broadening and enhanced photoluminescent intensity. Nd–O–W bond angle, local disorder and difference in ionic radius are responsible for the observed difference in photoluminescence properties.
