Enhancing the peroxidase-like activity and stability of gold nanoparticles by coating a partial iron phosphate shell

Abstract
The peroxidase-like activity of gold nanoparticles is significantly enhanced by coating a partial shell of iron phosphate, while a full shell inhibits the activity. This reaction has a high selectivity and sensitivity for Fe2+.
