Water-soluble pyridine-based colorimetric chemosensor for naked eye detection of silver ions: design, synthesis, spectral and theoretical investigation

Abstract
A selective and sensitive colorimetric chemosensor (L) for silver ions is reported. Various spectroscopic results show the sensing properties of (L). A simple and cost effective test kit has been prepared for the detection of silver ion in water samples.
