Abstract

Nanocomposite fibers of polyetherimide with axially aligned WS2 nanotubes were synthesized and studied. Increased nanotubes content notably enhanced strain hardening. Post-strain analysis unveiled nanocrystalline film surrounding the WS2 nanotubes.
