Abstract

Incomplete amorphous phosphorization results in the formation of crystalline cobalt molybdate nanoparticles surrounded by amorphous cobalt phosphide (CoMoO4@a-CoPx) in the shell, which synergistically enhances the hydrogen-evolution activity in an alkaline solution.
