Carbon footprint of geopolymeric mortar: study of the contribution of the alkaline activating solution and assessment of an alternative route

Abstract
An alternative route to prepare geopolymeric mortars yields a strong reduction of CO2 emissions. Replacement of commercial waterglass by rice hull ash-derived waterglass does not significantly decrease the mechanical strength of geopolymeric mortars.
