Abstract
A systematic, efficient route to the first heavier tetrylidyne complexes of niobium [(κ3-tmps)(CO)2NbE–R] (E = Si–Sn; R = aryl) starting from the carbonyl niobate (NMe4)[Nb(CO)4(κ2-tmps)] is presented.
