Abstract

Sn(ii) and Pb(ii) pnictine complexes with triflate and fluorinated tetraarylborate anions are reported and their solution behaviour probed by NMR spectroscopy; X-ray studies confirm that one or both of the triflates typically coordinate, giving diverse structures, whereas the BArF− is dissociated.
