Abstract
Stable and non-odorous alkyl ferrocenyl thioketones were explored for the first time as key substrates in multi-step reactions with bis(4-methoxyphenyl)diazomethane or 9-diazofluorene leading to ferrocifenes or ferrocenyl functionalized dibenzofulvenes, respectively, in good yields.
