Abstract
Catalysis of the intramolecular Diels–Alder reaction by the bulky Lewis acid B(C6F5)3 delivered as major components the cis-fused angularly-methylated octahydronaphthalene products derived from the exo orientations, one of which (Si-exo, Figure) is the central core of nahuoic acid A.
