Abstract

Excitation of the coordinated ligands in tetrahedral complexes having the general formula [MnX₂L₂] (X = Cl, Br, I; L = N,N′,N′-tetramethyl-P-indol-1-ylphosphonic diamide) causes bright green luminescence from the Mn(ii) centre.
