Abstract
Four Ag(i) metal–organic gels (MOGs) of an angular rigid diene were found to undergo [2 + 2] photo-polymerization reactions both in gel and xerogel states. The xerogels of these MOGs exhibit selective dye-sorption and luminescence properties.
