Abstract

A new Cr incorporation mechanism involving preferential formation of nanometre size Fe–Co–Cr–O spinel particles was found to be responsible for a reduced Cr poisoning effect at 900 °C under cathodic polarization for the La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3−δ solid oxide fuel cell cathode.
