Abstract

The catalytic two-electron reduction of dioxygen (O₂) by octamethylferrocene (Me₈Fc) has been studied by detailed kinetic analysis. This study provides valuable insight into the catalytic mechanism of the two-electron reduction of O₂ with an organic catalyst.
