Abstract

The shift in redox energy of the Cr3+/2+ couple due to bonding with (SO4)2− polyanions in the eldfellite structure makes Cr3+/2+ accessible, resulting in superior intercalative/deintercalative energy storage for NaCr(SO4)2vs. Na/Li cell.
