Coordination-driven self-assembly of ruthenium(ii) architectures: synthesis, characterization and cytotoxicity studies

Abstract

Four organometallic η⁶-arene Ru(ii) architectures (MA1–MA4) have been reported. In vitro anticancer activity of the architectures against human cancer cell lines showed good cytotoxicity where the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) is responsible for the cell death.
