Abstract

Introduction of the sterically demanding organosilyl ligand –Si(SiMe3)2(SiMe2tBu) on an iron(ii) center led to the construction of coordinatively unsaturated three-coordinate complexes Fe[Si(SiMe3)2(SiMe2tBu)]2(L) (L = THF, NHC).
