Abstract

CoN, Ni₃N and Cu₃N nanoparticles were prepared via low-temperature, oxygen-free liquid-phase synthesis in refluxing pyridine. This approach, leading to high-purity, narrow-size (3–5 nm) nitrides, can be generally very promising for obtaining nanosized nitrides and to address their material properties.
