Abstract

The first quaternary rare-earth oxythiogermanate Eu3GeOS4crystallizing in the noncentrosymmetric space groupPca21exhibits a novel 3D structure constructed from unique [EuOS6] and isolated [GeOS3] units, and NLO and ferromagnetic behaviors.
