Abstract

Hollow Co₉S₈ nanoneedle arrays were directly grown on transparent conducting substrates via a simple template-assisted hydrothermal process. Upon calcination, the resulting CdS/CdSe QDSCs based on the cobalt sulfide counter electrodes exhibited a high power conversion efficiency of 3.72%.
