Abstract

Protonated and deprotonated vanadyl imidazole tartrates were obtained for the mimics of FeV-cos. The V–Oα-hydroxy distance in 1 is close to those in FeV-cos. VCD spectra show that protonation significantly affects the characteristic peak of C–O(H).
