Abstract

Two heteroadamantanes with a Si6Sn4cluster core were prepared in one step synthesis from Me2SnCl2and Si2Cl6/Cl. The corresponding Si6Ge4heteroadamantane was selectively methylated at all four SiCl3substituents, while both SiCl2groups remained untouched.
