Abstract

Regioisomeric 24-nuclear exohedral cuprofullerenes were realized using a heteroleptic ligand strategy. They show regular C60@CuI24 rhombicuboctahedron, irregular C60@CuI24 in triplet C60@CuI24CuI8 core–shells and even a 3D coordination polymer.
