Abstract

3-Aminopyridine-2-carboxylic acid can serve as an AIE-active turn on fluorescence chemosensor for Zn²⁺. The AIE behaviors are attributed to the cooperative effect of J-aggregation and hydrogen bonds. And selecting proper ratio of the solvents can prove the sensitivity.
