Abstract
Different tailoring effect of green and red upconversion (UC) emissions from Er3+ ions has been successfully achieved in ABF3:Yb3+/Er3+/Mn2+ (A = K, Cs; B = Zn, Cd) by utilizing distinct Er3+–Mn2+ energy transfer processes resulted from the different Mn2+ energy level position in ABF3.
