Abstract
A deep-red emission fluorescent probe HY for detecting viscosity in living systems was developed. The probe exhibited ideal properties including good selectivity, high stability and low cytotoxicity. Importantly, the probe HY has been successfully utilized for monitoring viscosity variations in cells and living mice.
