Chiral Selenium and Tellurium-containing Derivatives: Synthesis and Applications

Abstract

The chapter will present the synthesis and applicability of chiral organoselenium and organotellurium compounds. The sections will be divided according to the utility of particular derivatives as electrophilic and nucleophilic reagents, selenide-based compounds including selenoxides, selenonium salts and ylides, and Se-catalysts. All Te-based compounds will be summarized as a general group of derivatives.
