Abstract

We developed a metal-free method for synthesizing methylene-bridged bis-1,3-dicarbonyl compounds and tetra-substituted pyridine compounds via cross-dehydrogenative coupling of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds with 2-methoxyethanol.
