2-Chloroethylamine·trifluoromethanesulfonate combined with 18-crown-6: a ferroelectric with excellent dielectric switching properties

Abstract

A new type of 18-crown ether-6-based molecular ferroelectric [NH3C2H4Cl(18-crown-6)](CF3SO3) (1) undergoes a ferroelectric phase transition at 255 K and exhibits a flexible switchable SHG effect. 1 has a polarization value Ps of 1.25 μC cm−2.
