Abstract

The Fe3+-rich surface on LiCoPO4 prevents from irreversible crystal structure change and electrolyte decomposition, leading to long term cyclability, while Ti4+-substitution contributes to the higher utilization of Co in LiCo0.9Ti0.05PO4 crystals.
