Abstract
We constructed theoretical models of the dehalogenation of chloromethane by a nickel(i) isobacteriochlorin anion and compared its reactivity with that of similar Ni(I) complexes with other porphyrin-derived ligands: porphyrin, chlorin, bactreriochlorin, hexahydroporphyrin and octahydroporphyrin.
