Abstract

The first asymmetric synthesis of N-2,2,2-trifluoroethylspirothiazolidine oxindoles is presented where N-2,2,2-trifluoroethylisatin ketimine is employed as a 1,2-dipolarophile for the first time in a [3 + 2]-addition reaction.
