Abstract

Band alignment of a Zr2CO2/GaS vdW heterostructure with respect to the vacuum level. The Zr2CO2/GaS vdW heterostructure has type-II band alignment under 3% biaxial compressive strain, which meets the conditions for photocatalytic water splitting.
