Abstract

A polytelluride [Te3]2− chain and a [Al2Te2]2+ framework lead to significant anharmonic thermal conductivity in Al2Te5 monolayers. The Te chain affects electronic properties, resulting in a high valley degeneracy and thus zT value of 1.5 at 600 K.
