Abstract

Reactions of Ph2CP-PtBu2 with aromatic or aliphatic dithiols lead to the activation of the PC bond by a 1,2-addition reaction mechanism. Addition of copper or silver chloride, in the next step, leads to organometallic polymers with P–P bonds.
